Here’s the list of upcoming auditions in calendar order. Be sure to do those voice and diction exercises before you arrive, speak loudly and face the audience, or, in this case, the director!

MELBOURNE CIVIC THEATRE will hold auditions for an adaptation of Moliere’s restoration comedy, “Tartuffe,” at 7 p.m. today and Monday (Jan. 24 and 25). The production will be directed by Peg Girard and is scheduled for March 18 to April 24. Auditions consist of cold readings from the script. MCT is at 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne, FL. COCOA VILLAGE PLAYHOUSE will hold auditions for the musical “Sugar” (based on the film ‘Some Like It Hot’) 7 p.m. Feb 1 and 2 (that’s a Monday and a Tuesday). The show, which is based on the movie “Some Like It Hot,” will run March 11 to 27. Limit vocal auditions to 1 minute or 16 bars of music. CVP provides pianist, so bring sheet music, or a CD, flash drive or MP3 accompaniment without vocals. If you don’t have a song prepared, you will be asked to sing “Happy Birthday.” No acapella vocals. Be prepared to follow simple choreographed stage movement. SURFSIDE PLAYERS will hold auditions for a new adaptation of “The Diary of Anne Frank” 7 p.m. Feb. 7 and 8 (that’s a Sunday and Monday). Needed are five women and eight men. TITUSVILLE PLAYHOUSE will hold auditions for the musical “Sister Act” 6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 and 9 (that’s a Monday and a Tuesday). Needed are adults 16 years and older.
