What deep delight. From breathtaking images of divine creation to that conceived by human. (What’s more, you get to escape from all this political stuff.)
Here. Start with dessert. From NPR, a visual tour of the Rockies. If you’ve got headphones, get ’em out. Click here. Next, in case you missed it on FB, a simply stunning snippet from “Dreams,” the 1990 magical realism film by Japan’s brilliant late director, Akira Kurosawa. The film is a string of episodes based on Mr. Kurosawa’s dreams. This video is from the segment called “Crows,” which will mean a great deal to anyone who knows anything about Vincent Van Gogh. To see it, and other lovely posts on the Facebook page of L’arte di guardara l’Arte, click here. And finally, a story about Stephen Knapp’s “light paintings.” I liked this story mostly because of all the beautiful photos and also because Mr. Knapp installed a piece in the lobby of Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach. So, you get to read about it, then see it, plus enjoy one of Riverside’s great productions…win win win. Click here.
