Pre-show

Melbourne Civic Theatre is in the midst of one of its best ever productions — “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike.” However, the improv group, the Not Quite Right Players, will take over the set this Saturday evening and have at it.
The event is a fundraiser for both MCT and NQR. And really, if you haven’t seen NQR in action, you’re missing out on a lot of fun. The group is the most popular and successful improv group Brevard has ever had (and that includes the nutty one yours truly used to run three decades ago…hahahaha). And, if you’ve never gone to an improv performance, what are you waiting for? You’ll get in on the action by suggesting characters, places, things and more.
So yeah…it’s fun, guys.
The show begins 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Melbourne Civic Theatre, 817 E. Strawbridge Ave., Melbourne. Tickets are $20 (that includes handling). Call 321-723-6935, visit MCT.org or click onto their ad for “Vanya and Sonia…”
