By now you’ve probably all over the news about North County boy Titusville Playhouse and South County girl The Henegar, forming a loving relationship. We’re all expecting great things to be born out of this. And Surfside Playhouse has its big gala fundraiser on Saturday. That’s just a little glimpse into how active and growing Brevard’s cultural scene is. Dip into it this weekend!

THEATER:

LOVE LETTERS opens tonight and runs through Feb. 14 at Titusville Playhouse. The show, directed by Niko Stamos, is set on TPI’s mainstage. It stars Gregory Galbreath and Traci McGough, both extraordinary actors who bring wonderful sincerity to their roles. More on this later. SYLVIA runs through Feb. 24 at Melbourne Civic Theatre. This show has a sweet little conceit to it which we’re not going to spoil for you. BREVARD SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA: Great Movies, Grand Piano – POPS begins 2 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the King Center. The concert, led by Maestro Christopher Confessore, features pianist Rich Ridenour, who delighted POPS audiences two years ago, with an all-new program. The concert also features movie music from The Sting, The Pink Panther, Forrest Gump, Somewhere in Time, Exodus, and Up. And, yes, there will be music from The Lord of the Rings, Superman and more.
